- The first meters were used in 1930 when the country was a British protectorate. All stamps show “FIJI” in the frank.
- The stamps are grouped according to appearance as follows:
- A - With monogram of the King of England, 1930 – 1953
- B - With monogram of Queen Elizabeth II of England, 1953 - 1987
- C - Post independence, without monogram, 1987 forward
