Dubai[edit | edit source]

The Arab Trucial State of Dubai used meter stamps at least as early November 1966. In 1971 it merged with several other Trucial States into the umbrella group United Arab Emirates. Stamps inscribed “DUBAI” continued to be used for many years after the merger. See also UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.
