[edit | edit source]The first meter was installed in 1952. All stamps contain “REP. DOMINICANA” or “REPUBLICA DOMINICANA”.

- 1. Pitney Bowes “Model R” (MV), 1952.
- Wide frank without complete outer frame line.
- “REP DOMINICANA” at top, coat of arms between TM and value box.
- M# with “P.B. (bottom left of TM) and “M.F.No” below coat of arms.

- 4. Pitney Bowes “5000” series (MV).
- Similar to Type 1 but wider design.
- M# with “P.B. M.F.No” prefix below coat of arms.
- TM: SC

- 5. Pitney Bowes-GB “5000” (MV).
- Very similar to Type 4 but large double circle TM breaking frame line at top.
- Date figures taller than with Type 4.
- M# with “P.B. M.F.No” prefix.

- 6. Pitney Bowes-GB “6300” (MV).
- Unlike earlier stamps, the date and value figures are on the same level,
- and “CORREOS” is below the value figures rather than above.
- M# with “P.B. M.F.No” prefix.

- 7. Pitney Bowes-GB “A900” series (MV).
- Quite similar to Type 6 but the value figures are larger,
- and “CORREOS” is centered rather than to the right.
- M# with “PB MF” prefix.

- 9. Hasler (MV).
- Design surrounded by frame with "REP.DOMINICANA" at top and "CORREOS" at bottom.
- Central row has coat of arms at left and value in centre.
- M# below TM with "ASCOM” prefix.
