The first meter was installed in 1934. All stamps have “BARBADOS” in the frank. The stamps are grouped according to appearance and function:

A - Frank with ornamentation but without postal logo
B - Frank with crown
C - Frank with trident
D - Frank with neither ornament nor postal logo
PO - Special stamps for post office use only

Upright frank with straight-line outer frame and inner frame around value in centre and filigree ornaments at sides.
