ID Board Review/Ambiguous Topics

This page is dedicated to help re-contextualize some of the topics from the ABIM blueprint and fill in any gaps. While the Blueprint is helpful in determining what topics can and likely will be covered on the test, it is not the easiest way to learn about patient workups and diagnoses.
Treatment regimens and workups are often based on clinical presentations (e.g. CAP, HCAP, VAP, etc) and empirical treatments rather than pathogen morphology (which is how the blueprint is written).
