Familiarity (alpha = 0.88)[edit]

Two surveys were conducted (online retailing company Amazon and online banking division [OBD]), to ensure adequate levels of reliability, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and nomological validity for a trust scale. Familiarity and willingness to transact were used to test nomological validity of the trust model.

Familiarity refers to one's understanding of another's behavior based on prior interactions or experiences.
