Chapter 65
The Valdosta Gazette has a headline that reads, "Local Man Missing." The date is December 15, 1930. Frank Bennett has been reported missing by his brother. He was last seen leaving or a hunting trip two days before and has not been seen since. Anyone with any information should call the police.
Analysis[edit | edit source]
The reader knows by now that Frank has been murdered. Mrs. Threadgoode has told his murder to Evelyn. This leaves the questions as to his murderer's identity and if it is Idgie, will she be caught, unanswered.
