An article in The Weems Weekly dated November 2, 1932. The article is entitled, "Whistle Stop Pig Club Started." People interested in the club are advised to contact Bertha Vick. It is a mark of distinction to own a pig. In other new, Idgie has a new radio at the cafe and invites anyone who wants to listen to the cafe. They can listen without ordering food. The article ends with Dot Weems requesting advice on how to get dog tracks out of cement.

Analysis[edit]

Idgie's generosity is seen again in this article. She allows people to come listen to their favorite radio show without ordering food. Life in a small town is seen in both the pig club and Dot asking for advice on getting her dog's tracks out of the cement.
