In order to organize our education system, we must research where the faults lie and formulate a plan of action. There are several ways to do this: “Pay for Performance” will encourage teacher productivity and encourage teachers to strive to be the best; equality in school funding so that urban districts have the same opportunities as suburban districts; understanding the roles of specific offices within the school district gives parents and teachers a place to voice their concerns; understanding the roles that state and local government play provides necessary leverage in decisions; teachers unions impact school policy; and teacher evaluations help administrators and teachers access strengths and weaknesses in delivering instruction to the students.

  • Students will be able to name which state has adopted the 'Pay for Performance' program and understand at what level it is being tested
