What is a school? Merely a box where we store our unruly youth? A giant kiln we shove our children into to harden, hopefully, into productive adults? Schools are not arbitrarily designed institutions. There are layers of organization involved on every level of government to insure that the children, our future as Michael Jackson would say, receive the best education possible. Organization is the mortar that holds our educational system together. Public education has been made possible through the streamlining of our educational system by various hierarchies, regulations, and associations. Without the order offered by these conventions schools of any kind would be highly ineffective, if possible at all.
