Axonometric projections are parallel projections onto an oblique plane that create a pictorial view of the object in measurable dimensions. Orthographic views can be used to construct axonometric views. Under an axonometric projection, sides are foreshortened. In an isometric projection, all axial directions are equally foreshortened. In a diametric projection, two axial directions are foreshortened equally but unequal to the third.
