If the bat touches the ball and the batsmen run one time in the pitch it is one run. Subsequently the amount the batsmen run through the pitch gets scored. That is up to 3 runs. If the ball bounces before crossing the boundary rope it is 4 runs. But if it doesn't bounce, it is a six - or 6 runs are scored
