Cricket is played by two teams of eleven players. Each teams players are able to bat and face the fielding teams bowling attack. Two batters at a time are on the field one at each end of the wicket.

The fielding side are allowed all eleven players on the pitch at the same time. One fielder acts as a wicket keeper, keeping the ball from going to the boundary, placed behind the batsman facing the bowled balls.
