- 1 lb potatoes
- ¾ ounce chopped onion
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 ounces butter, chopped
- Puff pastry, rolled out ⅛ inch thick
Procedure[edit | edit source]
- Peel and slice your potatoes very thin.
- Layer the potatoes in a pie dish, adding some onion, salt, and pepper between each layer.
- Add a dash of water to the potatoes, and scatter the chopped butter over top.
- Cover the filling with the rolled-out puff pastry.
- Bake at 375°F until golden and cooked through (about 1½ hours).
