Konbu or kombu, also called dashima/dasima (다시마) or haidai, is a type of edible brown algal seaweed (kelp) native to East Asia. It is frequently sold dried, although it may also be eaten fresh.

Konbu may be eaten fresh or used to make soups and teas.
