# Circuit Theory/Complex Power/complex conjugate

The quantity ${\displaystyle \mathbb {I} ^{*}}$ denotes the complex conjugate of the phasor current. To get the complex conjugate of ${\displaystyle \mathbb {I} }$, we have two formulas:

Given: ${\displaystyle \mathbb {I} =A+jB=M\angle \phi }$

• ${\displaystyle \mathbb {I} ^{*}=A-jB}$ (rectangular)
• ${\displaystyle \mathbb {I} ^{*}=M\angle -\phi }$ (polar)
