How to find and evaluate blog networks[edit | edit source]

As of April 2006, there are dozens of blog networks on the Web. All of them have unique ways of paying their bloggers and arranging the ownership of the blog content. For example, some blog networks pay each blogger a percentage of the gross revenue for that blogger's blog(s) and allow the blogger to retain full ownership of her content, while others pay a flat rate for each post and thus buy content rights from the blogger.

BlogNetworkList.com, run by the Blogmedia blog network, offers various ways of evaluating and comparing blog networks, such as the number of incoming links to their sites from other blogs and from search engines.
