Annotations[edit | edit source]

Lacus Mortis     (Latin) Lake of Death.[1] Hence, the Dead Sea. The usual Latin name is Mare Mortuum. The basaltic plain on the Moon known as the Lacus Mortis was only named in 1935, thirteen years after the publication of Ulysses. See also 059.01-09 and 394.15.
