Mater Misericordiæ     (Latin) Mother of Mercy. The Mater Misericordiæ University Hospital, popularly known as the Mater, was the largest hospital in Dublin in 1904.[1] Located on the corner of Eccles Street, it was founded in 1861.

Ward for incurables there.     The Mater Misericordiæ hospital did have a ward for incurables in 1904.[2]
