"Cirque du Soleil" is made famous for their breathtaking shows and extraordinary creativity. Cirque du Soleil’s latest production, "LOVE", celebrates the musical legacy of The Beatles. Drawn from the poetry of the lyrics, LOVE explores the content of the songs in a series of scenes inhabited by real and imaginary people. LOVE has an international cast of 60 and creates a high energy atmosphere underscored by aerial performance, extreme sports and urban, freestyle dance. With panoramic sound and visuals, the audience can experience The Beatles as never before at The Mirage, Las Vegas.

Cirque du Soleil recently added onto LOVE with their "REVOLUTION" Lounge (amazing website by-the-way - allows you to paint your own background to the page - very neat). The lounge offers an extended experience of LOVE, before and after the show. This is the first time Cirque du Soleil has drawn upon its innovative talent to create a unique nightlife experience in Las Vegas.

Revolutionary in its design and atmosphere, the REVOLUTION lounge features cutting-edge, interactive experiences to create a psychedelic sensory environment and a contemporary interpretation of The Beatles’ era. Each night, is an evolutionary journey, where both the music and interior transform, resulting in an eclectic nightlife adventure at The Mirage.

Another visionary, interactive, live show is Blue Man Group. Their production in Chicago (this author has not seen the Vegas version) involved the audiences in an interactive experience even before the show began. Blue Men planted themselves in the crowd and moved on stage only after the show had begun.

Without a word being spoken, this group can evoke audience involvement and a sense that the stage doesn't stop at the front of the theater. The crowd handles stage props such as huge rolls of paper unfurled from the front of the auditorium and giant dangling plastic objects suspended from the ceiling. "Volunteers" who never had a choice about the matter, participate on stage and become actors without a script.
