Historiography[edit | edit source]

History is, by definition, an argument about the past. Even though the events may have happened years or even decades ago, they still affect the way we live today, especially since most people involved in Internet History are still around. Most of all, the presentation of the past will affect a society's future.

And as such, history can be a landmine of controversy. It is absolutely critical to cite sources for all claims, understand the context of an artifact, and take the responsibility to write about events in an unbiased, just manner.

While directly citing evidence is not necessary for the Chronicle, all sources must be listed, and if necessary, archived and uploaded, in order for anyone interested to verify them.
