The history of the United Nations dates back before 24 October, 1945. While the latter date is the actual date of the conceiving of the United Nations, a previous intergovernmental organization existed before the UN. This was called the League of Nations.

The League of Nations was initially a three-man, literally small for its intergovernmental jurisdiction. The League of Nations consisted of Argentina, Australia, among other nations.
