Dialect Coach: Player; A type of acting coach who specializes in training actors to speak in specific dialects. Actors may request a Dialect Coach to help prepare for a role. Dialect coaches are often referred to as foreign actors who just couldn't fully make it inside the gates of Hollywood. Sometimes they are spoken of as being nothing but authentic native speakers who prefer teaching accents and dialects to only the rich and famous. Both are gross generalizations, and, one should try to avoid making gross generalizations about anything.
