Summary

Description
English: Wasawasa is prepared using yam peels. It is prepared under strict hygienic conditions. According to the Dagomba people, the wasawasa 'spoils' if the person preparing it and the environment under which it is prepared is unhygienic. It is believed that even flatulence by the one preparing it spoils it.

Wasawasa is eaten with salad and offal of usually cows and sheep.

It is sold at various locations in the Dagbon kingdom including notable restaurants like Wooden Restaurant in Tamale in the Northern region of Ghana.
