Bahasa Indonesia: Dikatakan Mie Caluk dikarenakan cara penjual meletakkan mie ke piring pelanggan. Yaitu dengan cara mengambil mie tersebut dengan menggunakan sendok dan supaya mienya tidak jatuh, penjual menjepitnya lagi dengan jari jempolnya. “Caluk” artinya mengambil makanan dengan tangan yang langsung menyentuh makanan.
Mie Caluk ini sangat unik, cara mengolahnya sederhana, mie dimasak dengan cara digoreng bersama bumbu. Bumbunya pun mengunakan rempah-rempah alami seperti bawang merah, bawang putih dan cabe. Untuk kuahnya biasanya dimasak terpisah dengan tumisan bawang gorang, cabe, tomat dan bunga kol. Disamping itu ada pula bumbu kacang, saus merah sebagai tambahan ketika disajikan. Dengan bumbu rempah yang khas, campuran saus kacang pecal, dan kuah tentu menjadi pelengkap yang sempurna plus dengan kerupuk berwarna merah dan putih. |
