English: Image shows 3 2 types of malt, and roast barley. They are Pale malt, Crystal malt, and roast barley, which is not malted at all, but rather just roasted in a drum. Pale is an undermodified malt with high enzyme activity, crystal is similar to pale , but with less enzyme activity and produces darker colour and nutty flavour by being "stewed". |
