English: A fluid analogy of the inverting summer (voltage <–> pressure, current <–> flow, resistance <–> constriction). The auxiliary pump compensates for the pressure loss in the taper just as the operational amplifier compensates for the voltage drop across the resistor R in the inverting summer circuit. |
