Cookbook:Asian Barbecue Sauce
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 3 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp ground ginger
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Combine all ingredients in a mason jar. Refrigerate for as long as either the soy sauce lasts or the hoisin, whichever comes first.
This sauce is extremely useful. To marinade meat in it, pour some into a zip-top plastic bag. Add your meat in and refrigerate for as long as 24 hours. To marinate fish, just follow the same directions for meat, execpt don't go past an hour or else your fish will have lost it's flavor.
- You can use this as a brushing sauce for foods on the grill. Just be sure to pour what you think you'll need into like a bowl so that everything stays clean and safe.
