Are you planning to expand this into a book? If the Javafied book project is no longer of interest to you, I suggest you add Javafied/Preface to the Java Programming book as a "history" appendix or a section of the introduction. Thanks, haginძaz 23:26, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Use Talk page[edit source]

Hi, You created a page for organization help in Java Programming, I suggest to use Talk pages for that. That's the standard way to add discussions, and new users probably won't find your newly created page. Ervinn 03:52, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit source]

As you can see at the top of this page, "All unlicensed images uploaded to wikibooks before November 1, 2006 will soon be deleted." You have uploaded images and some of them are untagged. You can see them here. Please review them and add appropriate tags. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. --Think Fast 04:35, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshots[edit source]

Please not that by defaults copyrights to software screenshots belong to software authors. Therefore you cannot tag screenshots as "PD-self". Use {{software-screenshot}} template for non-free programs instead. --Derbeth talk 09:45, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use images[edit source]

Hi there. I notice that some of your images are tagged as fair use. Please read Wikibooks:Media; you're required to provide a rationale for fair use on the image page. Please provide a quick reason why you must use a fair use image there underneath the license tag for each of your fair use images. Thanks! Mike.lifeguard | talk 12:40, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This message box is using an invalid "type=warning" parameter and needs fixing.
Sorry, I don't understand the rationale you've given for using this book. Why do you need to advertize this book?  – Mike.lifeguard | talk 23:57, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Mike, I am not advertising this book. Some subjects related to the book content are taken from the book and are then built upon. This book is very important when it comes to the subject at hand - Arunreginald (talk) 01:22, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It definitely seems like you're advertising it. Why do you need to show the cover? How does doing so help the module? That is what you need to put in the rationale. Indeed, the rationale claims that the purpose is partially to "[direct] people to the book on the author's website." If you're simply referring to concepts that are introduced in that book then a simple mention of that in the text is plenty. Or add a footnote like "These concepts were discussed adequately in ____. Refer to P. p-q for an introduction." We need to try to keep fair use images to a minimum so our content is reusable.  – Mike.lifeguard | talk 04:36, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your point. Thanks for clearing that up - Arunreginald (talk) 20:37, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Java navigation[edit source]

Greetings. I noticed that some of the Java Programming pages use the {{Java/Nav}} navigation template and some use the one in your user space: {{User:Arunreginald/Page Navigation}}. Personally I very much prefer the latter one (although separate next_title and previous_title strings seem superfluous to me). I wonder what are your plans regarding these templates? Obviously one should be selected and used consistently. --ZeroOne (talk) 12:49, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
