I moved it back for now. I agree, there could be a better intoduction, but this is better than an empty for now, I think. --Allefant 20:05, 22 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Didn´t help me- I selected the texture I wanted to use, but it didn´t apply on screen- I don´t know what to do, so that the texture is taken over to the model...something like an Enter-Button...?!

Applying textures

[edit source]

I'm having trouble actually applying my texture to a plane. Can anyone help?

Obsolete info

[edit source]

The method for specifying a texture image changed years ago. This is obsolete and useless for the current Blender 2.48.[1] --John Nagle (talk) 20:17, 5 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

How does the shadow appears?

[edit source]

After added the Stucci texture and affected it with the normal, an aliased shadow will appear in our rendered work. I fixed it by pressing 'Nor' button in the 'Map To' tab again, so the text 'Nor' turns yellow.

I wonder how come this shadow appear and why it's quality is rather low? --Weeix (talk) 15:41, 13 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

this tutorial

[edit source]

i cant seem to apply this tutorial to the blender 2.61 version that "spotty" button that your supposed to press is not on my blender program or has another name that isnt spotty button so i cannot complete this tutorial wich i really wish i could.

This Tutorial is actually very hard to follow for a Noob like me with Blender version 2.60 + Updates would be nice for these and many other tutorials on this book.
