This page is going to talk about Field Effect Transistors, how they are made, how they operate, and what are their basic characteristics.

FETs[edit | edit source]

Field effect transistors (FETs) make use of the electric field induced by a potential on the Gate (G) terminal to create a conducting channel between the Drain (D) and Source (S) terminals.

FETs vs BJTs[edit | edit source]

FET are more stable than BJT more linearity less noise, input impedence is very large, output impedance very low compared to BJT's therefore it consumes less power than BJT's

N and P Channel[edit | edit source]

JFET and MOSFET[edit | edit source]
