Chile
[edit | edit source]Postage meters first appeared in 1930. All stamps have “CHILE” in the frank.
The stamps are grouped according to design and function:
- A - Frank with complete outer border
- B - Frank with partial or no outer border
- PO - Special stamps generated only by machines in Post Offices

- From the top, the elements in the frank are:

- The labels have an underprint consisting of multiple small flying bird logos usually in pink but also found in beige.
- “PORTE/PAGADO” in red at upper right, and the postal service logo is at upper left.
- Three types of postal service logos exist:
- A. Flying bird in blue above “CORREOS” in red/ “de Chile” negative in a blue band
- B. As A, but with small “EMPRESA” between the bird and “CORREOS”
- C. As B, but the bird has speed lines added, and “DE CHILE” is positive in capital letters
- D. Logo as with A but the label is wider and with small vertical "NCR" logo at lower right
