Diagram drawn and uploaded by User:Leonard G.

Drawing notes (for translation):

  • Title: Start-Run Relay Wiring Guide
  • Top: Caution: Some automotive relays have different orientation of the mounting tab, but pin orientation is generally standardised.
  • Top Left: Vehicle wire colors may vary from those shown. Colors used correspond to other diagrams.

Bottom: For wiring diagram see Start-Run Logic with Error Alarm.

Note that some equivalent automotive relays use a different position of the mounting tab, although the pin configuration for general purpose relays is standardized.

Wire colors correspond to other diagrams and may vary in actual installations.

The diode is mounted on a small two-bay barrier strip using its screws.

Since multiple wires are joined together using crimp-on connectors an oversized crimp will be used. If the wires do not well fill the connector before crimping it may be necessary to strip extra length on a wire and double it by folding it over to properly pack the connector. Pull test each wire after crimping. Multiple wires may be similarly joined elsewhere at the slide-on relay tab connections, which may also require connectors for the next larger wire size and similar packing considerations.
