Description
English: Moroccan Maritime Interdiction Operation (MIO) team members conduct a simulated compliant boarding of Military Sealift Command (MSC) fleet replenishment oiler USNS Patuxent (T-AO 201). MIO teams are participating in the multi-national exercise Phoenix Express 2007 in 6th Fleet. The two-week long exercise is focused on developing increased maritime domain awareness, better information sharing practices, and the ability to operate jointly. The exercise includes Algeria, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey and the United States.
