Polski: W oficynie domu przy ul. Berka Joselewicza 5 mieszkał Mordechaj Gebirtig, sławny do dzisiaj poeta ludowy i bard żydowskiej ulicy. Gebirtig (Bertig) urodził się w Krakowie 4 maja 1877 r. w ubogiej rodzinie. Przez całe życie pozostał biedny, edukację zakończył na chederze, religijnej szkółce żydowskiej, a na chleb zarabiał najpierw jako stolarz, potem jako renowator mebli w składzie meblowym swojego brata. Około 1909 r. ożenił się z Blumą Lindenbaum, z którą miał trzy córki: Charlottę, Ewę i Leonorę. |
