Sevenpupanakwe arc seated on a ledge in fiont of the house, on the west oftiie tewita hlanna. and one takes his seat on a chair and the drum isplaced beside him (see plate cxxxiii). Tliey all smoke while theyawait the hour for the dance. Eight girls, four for each side, to take part in the pumokiakianawedance, gather in the house on the west side of the plaza and in thehouse of the priest of suhlaniia, where many necklaces, etc., areadded to their already- elaborate apparel.
