Various gluten free and wheat free flours are available. For people with celiac disease and no wheat allergy, gluten free flour is probably the best option as it is the most similar to normal flour. Gluten free flour is available in most supermarkets and can be obtained on prescription in some places if you have a diagnosis of celiac disease. Wheat free flours are a little more difficult to get hold of and can be harder to cook with but there are many different types available. Be aware that some wheat free flours still contain gluten, however wheat free and gluten free flours are available. Some of the most common wheat free flours are: potato flour, rice flour and soya flour.
