Boiled fish is a major ingredient in the preparation of many Nigerian soups. It is also served with other foods, such as rice and beans, fried rice, jollof rice, and many others.

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Cut fresh fish into suitable sized pieces, and wash thoroughly. Remove unwanted substances inside the fish.
  2. Put fish in a pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt.
  3. Boil for a few minutes until cooked but tender.
