About Wii U[edit | edit source]

The Wii U was a console produced by Nintendo in the early to mid 2010's. It's unusual control scheme lead to a number of unique and historically signficant games being developed for it.

Wii U Emulators[edit | edit source]

Cemu[edit | edit source]

Cemu icon. Cemu is the premiere Wii U emulator. Unlike most emulators, it is is proprietary and operates on a freemium model.

Cemu runs under Windows.

Decaf[edit | edit source]

Decaf is an experimental open source Wii U emulator.[1]

Hardware Considerations[edit | edit source]

The Wii U touchpad is an unorthodox controller. Accurately capturing the feel of using a genuine Wii U gamepad with an emulator may be difficult.
