Nigerian peppered snail soup is a simple Nigerian soup. It can be served with any Nigerian swallow.
Ingredients

- Onion, chopped
- Fresh pepper, chopped
- Stock cube
- Salt
- Palm oil
- Uziza powder (optional)
- Utazi leaves, shredded
- Nchu anwu (optional)

Procedure
[edit | edit source]- Wash and clean the snails well.
- Place the snails in a pot, and cover them with water. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the onions, chopped pepper, stock cube, and salt to the pot of snails. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Stir in the palm oil, uziza powder, shredded utazi leaves, and nchu anwu.
- Serve hot.
