Please make sure that cookbook pages stay in the Cookbook: namespace by creating those pages with a title starting "Cookbook:" and then the name of the recipe. This helps us stay organized. More helpful stuff below:

Cookbook pages[edit source]

Please create all recipe and other pages relating to the Cookbook in the Cookbook namespace. To do this, start a page as Cookbook:Title instead of Title. Mike.lifeguard | talk 17:51, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

-->OK, i'll bear that in mind

Hi KVDP,

I just noticed your page Simplified list of knots, and thought you might like to know about some related work I have done on Wikibooks. I have subpages for each knot that get transcluded into many chapters of Adventist Youth Honors Answer Book (Adventist Youth is a scouting organization affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church). Right now these sub-pages are organized and stored under the Adventist Youth Honors Answer Book/Knot hierarchy, but we could move them into something more generic (such as Knots) if you think that would be useful. I also developed Template:Knot that you might want to check out. --Jomegat (talk) 12:54, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Original Research[edit source]

Hello KVDP,

I just wanted to check that you had read what is wikibooks? Specifically the section on original research. Some of the books you have created seem to be original designs for things which you have craeted. These are not suitable for wikibooks which is a place for textbooks. Thanks. --AdRiley (talk) 08:00, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that the designs are original work rather than a textbook about a already established subject. You may find that wikiversity is a better place for these (though you would need to check with somebody there first as I am no expert on what is allowed there). I'm afraid I'm not sure how we could turn these into a textbook so they could remain here as they are very much your own original ideas. On one page you state "One must keep in mind that this document (atleast at present: August 2008) only reflects my own research and beliefs". So I am sorry but I think that these particular pages will be deleted. --AdRiley (talk) 08:20, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What about the "Juridical national measures on climate change" and Juridical national measures on transport, ... pages ? Those are not models. Don't they suffice ? If so, please remove the template.

PS: I already tried one of my models at wikiversity. I'll see whether that 'll work. If the national measures book is also no good, perhaps I can upload it there too ?KVDP (talk) 09:31, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but those pages are still original research. You even say so on the top of them. "only reflects my own research" --AdRiley (talk) 11:27, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, no problem. I just heard it can be put at wikiversity so that's solved anyhow. Can you tell me the template for deletion of the page ?

KVDP (talk) 06:14, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like you worked it out. I've deleted those pages now. Glad you have found a home for them at Wikiversity, they do look interesting, just not suiatble for here. Thanks for sorting this out. --AdRiley (talk) 07:36, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't mention it, I am as happy about it as you are, i'm now able to share my work with others better (more widely available now) :-)
