This bot works to ensure that the markAdmins gadget is using data that is up to date, and archives RfDs and RfUs that administrators have already closed. JJPMaster also uses her account to perform high-volume JWB edits.
Exclusion compliant?
[edit | edit source]This bot is not completely exclusion-compliant, since she only edits three pages (RfD, RfU, and markAdmins.json), as well as pages she creates. However, the {{Bots}} template can directly modify how she completes the RfD/RfU task, which is why I marked the bot as exclusion-compliant.
How to get her to archive an RfD/RfU with a different title than the section
[edit | edit source]Let's say that there is a deletion request with the heading "Some random page," but the page being marked for deletion is called Some other random page. That would be a rather confusing name for an archived RfD/RfU, so the bot should not archive it with that title. To mitigate this, you can give her a hint as follows:
{{Bots|bot=JJPMaster (bot)|rfd-archive-title=[insert the subpage to which you want the request to be archived]}}
In this case, rfd-archive-title would be Some other random page. However, please do not put wikitext markup into the parameter, as that confuses the bot. And you never want to see her confused.
