An NPN Transistor is made by joining one Positive-Typed Semiconductor in between two Negative-Typed Semiconductors. A Semi Conductor device that has three legs Base, Collector, and Emitter forming a bi-junction, namely BE and BC junctions

An NPN Transistor has this symbol. The emitter leg has the arrow pointing outwards.
