There is great controversy over the various styles presented in policy debate. Spreading is where a debater reads cards as fast as possible to either confuse the opposing team, or to pass over logical fallicies that are present within the cards. Spreading is a trump of all communication. Spreading is used mainly as a method of presenting as many arguments as possible within the given amount of time.
