The most simple single cell is the smallest unit or organism that is classified as living. Cells are often called the building block of life. Some organisms, such as most bacteria, have only one cell, and are called unicellular organism. Other organisms, such as us humans, are multicellular. In fact, we humans have an estimated 100 trillion cells (1014 or 100,000,000,000,000).
