Mario franchise strategy guide/Characters/KAOS

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

KAOS was the temporary cyborg leader of the Kremlings in the Super Nintendo game, Donkey Kong Country 3. He also appeared as a normal boss in the Game Boy game Donkey Kong Land 3, which was a semi-sequel to the SNES game.

In DKC3, Dixie Kong and her toddler cousin Kiddy Kong have discovered that Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong had been captured by the Kremlings. At the time, it was believed that KAOS was the cause of their disappearance. It is revealed later that King K. Rool (known as Baron K. Roolenstein in this game) was the real culprit; KAOS was used so no one would suspect K. Rool for the disappearance of Donkey Kong and Diddy.

KAOS has three heads. The first head is a helmet equipped with a remote control laser. The second (real) head had no special feature. The third head (revealed at Kastle KAOS) is armed with a grenade launcher. The second and third heads could not withstand a direct hit by a barrel, they would be destroyed if hit. After the battle with Baron K. Roolenstein, Donkey and Diddy were released from KAOS.

KAOS reappeared in Donkey Kong Land III, but only as a boss for Great Ape Lake. It is possible that he was controlled by two Kremlings at the time. It is very unlikely that KAOS will make any future appearances in Donkey Kong games.
