History[edit | edit source]

The PC Engine Mini saw a Japanese release on the 19th of March, 2020.[1]

The initial release date of the console in North America had also been the 19th of March, 2020.[1][2] However, due to manufacturing and logistics delays caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the TurboGrafx-16 Mini was released in North America on the 22nd of May 2020 for $99.99 USD.[1][2]

A CoreGrafx mini was planned for the European market.[2]

Technology[edit | edit source]

The system uses the Zuiki Z7213.[3]

The system was noted to be large compared to other retro revival "mini" consoles of the era.[4]
