Summary

This is a 3d plot of a one-sided-surface (a mobius strip) distorted such that its boundary is a circle. I made this image on my own computer by manually entering a script into a plotting program and screen-capturing the result. I release this image to the world under GFDL.

While the original MobiusSnail was made from arbitrarily hacked parametric equations, this object started as a 2D surface in the 3-sphere, stereographically projected into 3D from that point on the 3-sphere nearest to [-1.5,0,1,0]. See the Mobius Strip discussion-page for a full explanation:
