Summary

Description
English: A path integral can be converted to a volume integral be replacing the displacement differential dq with the shown expression that is proportional to the volume differential dV. As is shown, the path is diffused to fill a thin tube. The integrand of the volume integral at all points outside of this thin tube is 0.
