English: Clashach Cove. View east across the cove. The exposed sandstone on the hillside was once sand dunes formed in a desert environment around 250 million years ago. As the prevailing wind direction changed, the dunes grew at different orientations and the layering produced can be seen. The sandstone is being mined in a quarry just behind the cove.
